Live performance and recording of the band's new album's title track 'Luchtbegrafenis' played in subzero temperatures in the Rockerill in the winter of 2025-2026 – A former steel factory in the South of Belgium turned arts and music centre with a rich history and a worker's spirit.

After four years of writing and touring, Belgian post-metal outfit AUFHEBUNG is back with a new record.
With ‘Luchtbegrafenis’ (English: Sky Burial), the band is entering a new, more mature phase in its highly creative songwriting and production. On this sophomore release, the band explores the opposition between life and death, growth and decay, through the lens of ritual.
Whatever we cherish can easily be lost – All that is meaningful is brittle.
